When did the construction of the new stadium in Putrajaya begin?
Construction of the new stadium involved the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), as well as FIFA, which supported construction with funding from FIFA Forward program. Construction opening ceremony for the new stadium took place on October 17, 2022, with the attendance of presidents of AFC (Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa) and FIFA (Gianni Infantino). New football stadium will have a capacity of 10,000 spectators. Stands, divided into two tiers, will be located along the pitch, on both sides.
